Festive Style Stars – Leeds

Last Sunday we gathered together some of our favourite traders and set up shop at Leeds Corn Exchange! With a decadent mixture of party dresses, one of a kind jewellery, unique vintage gifts and some delicious cakes from Love Rouge, we made sure there was something to tickle everyones festive fancy.

Armed with golden stars and her trusty camera, Fair Manager Emily kept her eye open for some swoon worthy vintage styles. We have to admit we think we have the UK’s most stylish customers and the folk in Leeds did not disappoint!

Our first style star of the day was awarded to this fashion savvy lady for her incredible 60’s inspired ensemble. Everything about this look screamed 60’s, the hair, the coat, the boots…how could we not award a style star for this outfit?

Brightly coloured hair seemed to be a trend at our Leeds event, with the ever marvellous Love Rouge lady Sophie donning bright blue hair! This bright turquoise effort put our hair to shame, accompanied with some amazing eyebrows and bright red lipstick she is definitely a girl after our own heart!

Carrying on the jewel colour theme with gorgeous two tone hair is our next style star! We aspire to be this fashion forward in a few years time – we adore the vintage style glasses and red lippy too.

We love winter coats here at Judy’s and this beauty was no exception! Paired with enviable vintage hair (please teach us), a splash of tartan and some statement shoes, we think this is the perfect vintage winter look!

Our final style star was another 60’s inspired lady with a ‘hive to rival Bridgette Bardot! We particularly love the mint and gold dress – a perfect hint of festive glamour (and we love glamour!)

We also had two of Leeds best fashion bloggers write posts about our event (thanks ladies)!:

Greetings From Beacons!

Often a cider-sodden bone of contention, we don’t sit on the fence when it comes to Festivals – we bloody love them! Reveling in them in all their gin-swigging, port-a-loo glory, we were fortunate enough to be invited to what is one of our favourite smaller events, Beacons Festival.

Set in the idyllic Yorkshire moors, Beacons is but a fledgling compared to those stalwarts of the summer calendar. That said, just like David & Goliath, bigger isn’t necessarily better; great bands, good grub and an atmosphere  that is practically electric (literally: see neon sign above) make for a festival that’s not only memorable (well, semi-memorable at least – bloody ale tent!) but leaves you  crying into your tent bag at the thought of having to leave.

Always on the hunt for the sartorial, one thing we love about festivals is the fashion fix; gone is the world of GHDs and preening and instead comes a feral sort of confidence, all bindhis and plumage and just not giving a sh*t. Forever on the prowl for an outfit or two, here’s our pick of the crop…

And there we have it. Sleeping bags aired. Tents packed down. ‘Missing’ posters for our dignity plastered all over the town. Roll on next year!

Did you go to Beacons? Let us know below!

Cheaper than chips, The Vinage Kilo Sale Returns!

Greetings Vintage Fans!

So, as you probably know, that most momentous of events, The Vintage Kilo Sale, calls at London this Saturday, bringing 5 TONNES of vintage stock at a meager £15 per kilo. So affordable that it makes ‘Bargain Hunt’ look like Harrods, we wanted to show off some of our favourite bits…

Appetites whet? We thought so! For all the details of Saturday’s Bethnal Green event, click here.

See you soon vintage fans!

Scotland Ahoy!

Greetings vintage fans!

The wind in our hair. Dusty on the speakers. Vans packed like sardine cans filled with vintage bits – it’s official, we LOVE a road trip! This very afternoon, we’re off on a spot of travelling, bringing our vintage fair to one of our all-time faves – EDINBURGH! Part of the official Fringe festival festivities, we’re filling Lothian Road’s Picture House with a spot of this (and couldn’t resist sharing…)

Salvating? We thought so! If you’re in the neighbourhood, come say hello and if not, click here to see if we’ll be seeing you soon!

Long live the Prince!

Bang the drums and hang the bunting – a right royal newborn has arrived!

Yes folks, unless you’ve been stationed ostrich-like with your head in the sand (and even then I fear that you would know – ostriches love refreshing the Daily Mail app religiously right??) you will know that a new petit prince is among us.

With that in mind, we got to thinking – who are our pick of the vintage princes? Waxing nostalgic and ranging from muscles to mullets to parachute pants, check it out below…

Now THAT’s what we call one heck of a monarchy!

Yours flag-wavingly,

Judy HQ x

Aloha, Aloha!

Greetings Vintage Fans,

In this somewhat tropical weather, we admit that it’s pretty easy to forget that we’re in England. With that in mind (and wanting to put a midweek grin on your face!) we couldn’t help but share this snap from our last Spitalfields fair – can you guess which place this trader seems to think he’s in?

Aloha, aloha! Enjoy the weather vintage fans!
