Every now and then, an event hits the calendar that is so exciting we can’t sleep – so out-and-out AFFORDABLE that your socks are knocked right off! Founded in 2009, The Vintage Kilo Sale is this.
A must for any vintage fan feeling the pinch, the premise is a simple one; in an EXCLUSIVE partnership with Glass Onion [one of the world’s biggest vintage wholesalers!] over 3 TONNES of quality, mixed vintage is shipped to Hackney. Sorted onto over 100 rails, shoppers are invited to peruse them, raiding through dresses and denim, jackets and accessories, menswear to festival gear to new season staples – all to be weighed at the end. Once on the scales, shoppers pay only £15 per kilo for the items they have picked-up. Totally dependent on weight, this usually equates to 4-5 items for £15, unrivalled anywhere else!
In addition to fashion for guys & gals, expect wholesale vintage jewellery [from 50p] including rings, sunglasses, brooches and chains. The cheapest way to stock up your wardrobes [and just in time for summer] be sure to pencil it in!
